Project Profile

Stanhope Road

School.

Zane Wilson was with Wakaraanga School when Shade Systems constructed a COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area) for their school. Upon taking up the Principal role at Stanhope Road School, a COLA was a must for the school. Zane wanted to give the children a reason to love school and care for it and installing the COLA has done just that. He said they have not experienced any vandalism for over 12 months now, and the outdoor upgrades have really boosted everyone’s morale.

The canopy has been most beneficial for the school. With a growing roll, it has allowed them to use this court space all year round for physical and learning activities, and now they can host whole school assemblies which they weren’t able to do in the school’s hall.

The canopy has also proved to be a massive hit with the school community and is used whenever possible. Especially on the weekends!

The design is of this COLA Canopy is what we would call our ‘recommended design’. The most common option. Round columns, single member rafters (bird proof), White Sky Series PVC Membrane roof and 2-coat epoxy painted frame (Titania). Included in the design are optional additional extra’s – post padding in Stanhope Road School’s colours with their values printed, signage, plus lights and turf.

The space is really vibrant and looks incredible!
