Kaiwaka School

Sun protection inside and outside the classrooms.
COMPLETED February 2011
FABRIC TYPE Shadetec 320

Kaiwaka School is a small rural school located in Northland New Zealand. Shade Systems recently erected four custom sized shade sails along the front of a classroom block. These were to obstruct overpowering sunlight coming into the classrooms. Additionally, they would provide sun protection for the students when they use the deck space for eating, playing and learning.

What they had to say:

“We are very thrilled with the new shade sails that Shade Systems have constructed and erected at our school. They are stunning to look at. Also, they provide excellent coverage and have weathered the recent storms perfectly. Your company was excellent to work with, reliable, punctual and with excellent attention to detail. They were mindful of student safety whilst putting up the sails. Yet they understood the fascination that our youngsters have with machinery and the construction process. We all feel that commissioning these sails from Shade Systems was our best decision. They provide a more healthy and safe environment for our children. Furthermore, they provide an attractive and enhanced place for everyone who works and learns here.”

“We are very pleased with the service and product that Shade Systems has provided for our school. A lot of effort was put into designing the best cover for us and the installation was efficient, sound and effective.”
