These are robust structures. They don’t have the same tendency as sails to sag or flap over time and are much more resistant to climbing or vandalism.
Shade cloth fabric is a breathable material that provides the ultimate heat reduction on anything and everything underneath. The HIP-ROOF has a simple clean form that is compatible with a variety of architectural approaches and effectively covers large areas from the sun without that closed in feeling.
These structures have a shade cloth membrane, tensioned over a hip shaped framework supported by freestanding poles. This is held taut with a tensioned stainless-steel wire cable sewn into the perimeter hem - this allows our structures to withstand virtually any weather conditions.

C.O.L.A.s maximise the use of outdoor space, providing year round protection from the sun and rain, allowing uninterrupted programs.
Using rigid ‘Hard Top’ polycarbonate roofing or flexible ‘Soft Top’ PVC tensile membranes larger and larger areas can now be covered with these awesome clear span structures.
While function is the most critical, these C.O.L.A.s can make an architectural statement with their arched rafters or trusses, flowing curves and shapes. The 99% UV block they provide while still allowing a high level of light transmission is also a huge advantage. Lighting setups and sound systems can be included for that added dimension i.e. assembly points, galas, functions or even night time training if required.

It doesnt get much simpler than repetition of a custom designed modular walkway system.
You can have a single cantilever, double cantilever or poles either side. The roof can be toughened glass, fabric or profile metal. You can integrate bus stops, pedestrian links, seating areas, taxi bays, doorway entrance awnings - all with the same look. All lighting cables can be hidden within the slender structural membres and the rainwater can be collected from the roof area with downpipes concelled in the columns if you choose.
Covered walways are a great way to control pedestrian flow paths without blocking any veiws and similtaneously protecting the patrons from the elements. They can complement and enhance existing architecture or can create a new look with a unique aesthetic impact.
